MoP® Foundation Exam
Learners and practitioners of the MoP portfolio management methodology can get themselves certified. This is a two-step certification processes:
- MoP Foundation: suitable for beginners in portfolio management and senior managers who like to learn how portfolio management works
- MoP Practitioner: suitable for advanced practitioners in portfolio management, who establish and operate portfolios in large organizations
Who is it suitable for?
MoP is suitable for project portfolio managers, Project Management Officers (PMOs), board directors, C-level executives and senior managers. It is also suitable for anyone who aspires to achieve any of these roles.
What are the prerequisites?
You do NOT need to be a project manager or PRINCE2 certified to pass the MoP exam. Some knowledge about project management may be useful, but not essential. Candidates must pass foundation before facing the practitioner exam.

What does the exam look like?
- The MoP Foundation exam has 50 multiple choice questions with one correct answer per question
- The pass mark is 50%. You need to get 25 correct. There is no negative marking
- Exam duration is 40 minutes
- This is a closed book exam with no support allowed
- You can register and sit for this exam completely online, at your own convenience. Exam proctoring takes place through the webcam
